it's been quite a whileeee
title is the phrase i enjoy starting my texts to most of the GCs. it feels some kind of way and if youâre yet to feel it, go back till you do (this is giving âread that againâ energy but you really should)
heyyy bestie! how are youuu??!! i hope youâre somewhat okay
it has been ages and if i begin to explain the why, we will collectively wail so i will tell you about it in bits over an unspecified period of time. i do need a communal wail sesh and i hope i get it soon but i wlew in the arms of my captain yesterday and it was long overdue as i had been needing a good cry for monthssss. i could only get a few tears here and there and they werenât cutting it because my existence manages to reach new levels of unbearable at a speed i canât quantify. may this torture device of a body allow me to cry intensely more often- preferably once a day minimum- thanks in great anticipation. put in a word or two for me plss.
time is wilddd. EVERYTHING is wildddddd. i donât think i had ever felt how long January was till now and WUEEHHHHHH!!! each day was a different font of awful and may it not happen that way going forward bc wtaf was that???!! the number of times i expressed how grim things are was concerning (even for me who is ever suffering lol). using the word wild has made me think of a memoir i absolutely adore that everyone should read, âUntamedâ by Glennon Doyle. itâs so so good and i am in need of a reread.
i beat loadshedding earlier and sending this out in the next 45 minutes would be another point for me so let me try to do that.
there were highlights fortunately but the lowlights really stayed true to their name. my captain and i have had conversations on words and language being both amusing and weird and i canât stop noticing it if i tried, not that i am.
highlights included so many of the beautiful things i read and i will put you on because you deserve it too. hugeeee shoutout to writers, maintain the momentum and iâm a forever stan!! i will compile and share them as soon as i am able to
highest of highlights is definitely loving and being loved so so well.
another would be me FINALLY seeing Lloyiso live last weekend and experiencing it with one of my faves!! we saw Ami Faku too and what a wowwwww!! hearing
give a little kindness, indlovu, fatela, asibe happy, seasons, abalele and a few others live truly shifted something in my soul
super super grateful for that experience and i can now transcend in peace :)))!

another is the very very pretty skies- definitely disneyyyyyy- and the moon was super magical too. i didnât stare at her enough with my sister and that bit is sad but the few times we did were amazing!
another is the Shorts -EP by Barbara Wangui. itâs perfect and then moreeeeee.
i have said another so many times. it appears the list is longer than i thought so i will make a list soon enough

^i had a different stream of thoughts on what this issue would include but we will go with this, mostly because i didnât make a list and the thoughts morphed into this while i was doing other tasks before sitting to type and iâm left with 8 minutes so this will be it^
